We believe that providing decent conditions for writers, editors and translators is the best way to do this. That is why we always treat our suppliers and subcontractors with respect. We provide thorough briefs, pay fair rates and settle invoices promptly. Likewise, we set reasonable deadlines which allow people to have a good work-life balance.

ICE is woman-owned. Naturally we like to work with anyone with talent. At the same time, we provide a flexible income source to several parents of young children and to older women. These are groups who can find it hard to find decent and rewarding work.

We support professional associations as a good way of raising industry standards.

In 2013, ICE began donating just over 1% of our annual turnover to NGOs. Recently, our donations have supported Syrian refugees, and good governance and independent media in the UK and Ukraine. We have also supported Spanish medical research and Mediterranean rescue operations.
